In Kampot province, Cambodia, two boys, 15 and 13, were going for a walk when they happened upon an old bomb or unexploded ordinance (UXO). The two boys started beating the bomb until it exploded.

The 15-year-old was killed instantly and the 13-year-old was sent to the hospital with serious injuries.

Cambodian Mine Action Center officials claim that they are checking for other UXO´s in the area.

educate everyone to treat all ordnance as dangerous, even old ones, etc... wake up people! don't play with bombs, fire, etc... you'll get hurt! all common sense, too, you know!

CMAC or CMAA or other mine related NGOs should focus more attention on awareness and education, especially in the community levels, because lots of people still don't understand about the danger of those silent killer items. More posters, leaflets or banners should be hang or posted in the houses in the mine contaminated communities and schools.
